The Vermonter

Local apples are sweetening up on the trees as the cold nights of autumn approach, and this cocktail takes full advantage of the seasonal bounty. Start with two ounces of Vodka 14. Add a dash of cinnamon, a dash of whole cloves, and muddle. Shake this over ice with two ounces of fresh apple cider (unpasteurized is preferable) and a dash of orange bitters. Strain and serve on the rocks, garnished with an orange twist and a cinnamon stick swizzle.
